Commercial/Ag Loan Officer - Holdrege

Home Federal Bank is looking for a Commercial/Ag Loan Officer for our Holdrege branch to continue to help our customers build their future at home. We are seeking an outgoing individual with excellent customer service skills and a strong sales aptitude. 

Principal duties and responsibilities include:

  • building relationships with existing Home Federal Bank customers,
  • making contacts with future Home Federal Bank customers to build relationships,
  • acquire and originate commercial real estate and non-real estate loans,
  • business development of primary target market which includes small to medium size businesses,
  • market and cross sell all Home Federal Bank products and services including virtual products,
  • responsible for credit management and underwriting portfolio,
  • participate in the community in order to foster the relationship between the bank and community members.

Skills needed to be successful include:

  • 3 - 5 years of commercial lending experience,
  • 2 years for credit analysis experience,
  • a strong sales aptitude,
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills,
  • attention to detail,
  • organization,
  • ability to multitask,
  • time management,

Full-Time Retail Assistant - Grand Island

Home Federal Bank is currently seeking a full-time Retail Assistant in Grand Island.  This is a fast-paced position.  This position is Monday - Friday with a Saturday morning rotation.

Principal duties and responsibilities include:

  • actively participate in all functions of Retail Banker, Customer Service and Teller,
  • regular contacts with key deposit portfolio customers,
  • maintaining and balance a cash drawer and cash vault,
  • oversee operations of Teller areas through Lead Tellers including scheduling, workload, work completion, conduct training with an emphasis on coaching sales and service,
  • conduct, with Retail Manager and Lead Teller, annual performance appraisals for teller staff,
  • selling Home Federal Bank's virtual products and making product recommendations and service referrals.

Skills needed to be successful include:

  • previous Teller experience required,
  • previous Financial institution experience preferred,
  • strong sales aptitude,
  • flexibility,

Home Federal Bank is currently seeking a full-time Senior Teller in Grand Island. This is a fast-paced position. This position is Monday - Friday with a Saturday morning rotation.

Principal duties and responsibilities include:

  • Lead, grow and develop a teller team in partnership with the Retail Assistant and Retail Manager
  • Accurately and efficiently complete transactions for customers
  • Maintain a cash drawer, cash vault and an operational teller area
  • Originate deposit accounts, certificates of deposit and other platform accounts in a back up capacity.

  • Previous teller experience a plus

Home Federal Bank is currently seeking a full-time Customer Service and Compliance Specialist in Grand Island. This position is Monday - Friday with a Saturday morning rotation.

Principle duties and responsibilities include:

  • Answer and assist customer service calls, chats, and emails
  • Help walk in customer service traffic
  • IRA account servicing, file review and monthly reporting
  • Perform teller transactions during peak periods, times of staffing challenges and maintain a daily cash drawer
  • Perform duties in fraud prevention including alerts and compromised cards
  • Originate deposit accounts, certificates of deposit and other platform accounts in a backup capacity

Skills needed to be successful include:

  • Prefer two (2) or more years recent customer service related experience
  • Financial institution and/or accounting experience a plus
  • Ability to effectively use a computer, calculator, keyboard and experience in spreadsheets and word processing
  • Must have organizational skills and ability to work on multiple tasks
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills to exchange information with customers and employees

Credit Analyst - Grand Island

Home Federal Bank is currently seeking a full-time Credit Analyst to input and analyze financial information and assist lenders in determining credit worthiness of respective credit requests.

Principle duties  and responsibilities included:

  • Assist lenders with credit presentations, financial spreads and periodic file reviews as needed
  • Compile, input and analyze financial information into bank's financial analysis software
  • Follow up with customers for missing documentation relative to credit files on occasion and in coordination with relationship office.
  • Give support and leadership to other areas within Home Federal Bank

Skills needed to be successful include:

  • Well organized and self-motivated individual
  • Basic understanding of cash flows, financial statements and tax returns
  • Requires strong verbal and written communication skills demonstrating professionalism with customers and co-workers
  • Analytical ability to assess risk within the bank's policy and underwriting criteria
  • NMLS registration or ability to be registered
    Bachelor's degree with major in business administration, finance, economics or accounting or equivalent work experience
  • Pervious credit analysis experience but not required
